Dr. Gerenser is the Executive Director of the Eden II Programs. She received her Ph.D. in Speech and Hearing at the City University of New York Graduate Center. She is a member of the Scientific Advisory Council for the Organization for Autism Research. In addition, she is co-president of the Council on Autism Services as well as Associate Editor of the Journal of SLP & ABA. Dr. Gerenser has presented on topics in autism and related disorders at local, national and international conferences. She is the co-author of Behavioral Programming for Children with Autism, an interactive CD-ROM as well as several articles and book chapters. She currently sits on the advisory boards of several autism programs across the U.S. and abroad. Joanne has won numerous awards for her work with individuals with ASD, most recently, the New York State Association for Behavior Analysis Award for Representation of Behavior Analysis in the Media.
