Speech Clinic Overview

The Eden II Programs has been a leader in the effective intervention and education of individuals with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) for over 35 years.  We believe in the value of integrating speech and language services as part of our programs and support the collaboration of these disciplines in addressing the complex speech, language, and communication deficits displayed in individuals with ASD.

The speech clinic at the Diagnostic and Outreach Center offers a variety of evaluation and therapy services for the purpose of diagnosing and treating the many speech and language difficulties that often accompany autism. Individuals with autism often experience speech and language difficulties in the areas of articulation, speech fluency and pragmatic language. All clinicians working in the speech clinic are licensed Speech Language Pathologists (SLP) with significant experience in the field of autism.

Speech and Language staff trainers provide support to families to assist them with carrying out functional speech and language goals to their everyday life.

Health insurance is not accepted for speech evaluations or therapy, but individuals are provided with a detailed invoice that may be used to access “out of network” reimbursement benefits with many health plans. Please contact the Diagnostic and Outreach Center for fees and payment options.
